SEPTA To Hold Another Lottery For Papal Transit Passes

By Lynne Adkins

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- SEPTA is planning another lottery for transit passes for the weekend the Pope comes to Philadelphia. This one is for the Norristown High Speed Line and routes 101 and 102 trolley lines.

You can enter the lottery for the 10 dollar passes from 12:01am until 11:59pm on Wednesday August 12th.

Septa spokeswoman Heather Redfern says you'll select a travel time either 6 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. until 1p.m., then select a station, because only a few will be open.

"For the 101 trolley you would either pick Springfield Mall or Leamy avenue, for the 102 trolley, North Street or Clinfton-Aldan and for the Norristown High Speed Line, Gulph Mills or Villanova station.

There are only 56-hundred passes for each of the trolley lines and 20-thousand for the high-speed line.

You can request up to 10 passes and winners will be notified next Friday.
