SEPTA Strike Prompts Philly Businesses To Come Up With Travel Solution For Employees

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Getting to and from work is proving to be a challenge for the many people who rely on SEPTA. Employers are working to help staff members get around.

Wes Light is the emergency preparedness manager for Temple Hospital and says shuttle buses are just one of the transportation solutions being offered to employees.

Independence Blue Cross began planning for this two weeks ago, by sending employees an email outlining different options for getting to work, including a network of carpool drivers, discounts for bike share and parking as well as the option to work from home, if possible.
