SEPTA Names Some Train Stops To Be Open During Papal Visit

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- SEPTA has named just a handful of train stops for use during the upcoming Papal visit that will funnel thousands into certain local communities.
Whitemarsh Township Police expect 10,000 people to catch trains from the Fort Washington SEPTA train station on both days of the Pope's visit.
Chief Mike Beaty says meetings have been going on for months with local, county and federal officials figuring out the details, including where to put all those cars.
"We're trying to designate parking areas, we're trying to have drop off areas, bus lanes if buses are coming into the area, and we're gonna work with the different businesses in the area. We're hoping that local businesses or office parks will have availability.
He says SEPTA and emergency personnel will be on hand to help move the crowds safely.
He advises everyone to be patient as roads will be crowded or closed, and the train station will be jammed.
