SEPTA Announces Modified Thanksgiving Day Schedule, Impacted By Parade

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- For commuters looking to get around the area on Thanksgiving Day, SEPTA has announced its service schedule, which will be impacted by Philadelphia's Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade.

SEPTA buses and trolleys, the Market-Frankford line, the Broad Street line, the Norristown High Speed Lines and the Regional Rail Lines will operate on Sunday schedules on Thanksgiving Day.

Several of the bus routes in the city will have to be detoured to accommodate the parade route. Routes 31, 33, 38, 44, 62, 124, 125 and the Market-Frankford Nite Owl will be detoured from 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, until 3:00 a.m. on Thursday for setup.

Routes 2, 7, 17, 27, 31, 32, 33, 38, 43, 44, 48, 124, 125 and Market-Frankford Nite Owl will be detoured from 3:00 a.m., until around 2:00 p.m., on Thanksgiving Day due to street closures along the parade route.

SEPTA buses and trolleys will be on a modified weekday/holiday schedule on the day after Thanksgiving which is available on SEPTA's website.
