By Steve Beck

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A school bus with students on-board crashed into a barrier along the Schuylkill Expressway Thursday morning.

The accident happened at about 9:50 a.m. on the Schuylkill Expressway near Girard Avenue.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene shortly after the crash where it showed a yellow school bus with front-end damage.

Authorities say the driver of the bus, identified by police as Cory Phillips, lost control of the bus around a slight curve and ended up striking a guard rail.

The children were transferred from the crashed school bus to another school bus. All occupants were taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Hahnemann Hospital as a precaution.

There were no reports of any serious injuries.

The children were from the Hope Church School and were en-route to the Philadelphia Zoo.

The school bus was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

The accident scene was cleared at about 11 a.m.

The accident remains under investigation.
