Rosemont College Closed Through Rest Of Week Due To Power Outage
ROSEMONT, Pa., (CBS) – Rosemont College says an extended power outage in the region due to the winter storm is affecting power, heat, and hot water on campus.
According to Rosemont's website, the college will be closed on Thursday, February 6th and Friday, February 7th.
No classes will be held in the Undergraduate College and in the Schools of Graduate and Professional Studies, and all College offices will be closed.
The College is urging all on campus resident students, who can travel safely, to return home. Rosemont also encourages students who cannot travel home to consider going home with classmates who do live within reasonable traveling distance.
For those students who remain on campus, the College says emergency generators are located in Connelly Hall and Cardinal Hall. Cardinal will continue to serve food to students on campus.
The College says students who remain on campus should stay in frequent communication with their resident assistants. Public Safety officers will be on duty and present on-campus 24-hours per day throughout the power outage.
Rosemont says updates will be provided frequently through the e2campus alert system, the College website, the College voicemail, KYW 1060 AM, and social media.
