Robbery suspects sprayed pepper spray inside jewelry store at Philadelphia Mills Mall: police
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say suspects of a jewelry store robbery inside a Northeast Philadelphia mall sprayed pepper spray before stealing jewelry Saturday night.
At approximately 7:23 p.m., four men went into Javier the Jeweler and sprayed pepper spray, leading to eye and respiratory contamination for employees.
The suspects then used a sledgehammer to break open jewelry display cases, according to police.
No customers were inside the store at the time of the crime.
There has been no word yet about just how much jewelry was stolen.
The investigation is still ongoing with Northeast Detectives.
