Robbery Suspect Tells Rite Aid Cashier She Has A Bomb

HATFIELD Twp., Pa. (CBS) -- Police are investigating a robbery at a Rite Aid in Hatfield Township in which a female threatened a cashier stating she had a bomb attached to her.

The incident occurred on December 14th around 2 p.m. at the Rite Aid located on North Broad Street.

Police say the suspect walked around the store as if she was shopping. She waited for the cashier to be alone at the register and presented a demand note to her that stated it was a robbery and she a bomb attached to her.

The suspect then opened her jacket and showed a device was taped around her waist.

The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect the fled in an undisclosed direction.

The suspect is described as a white female, 5'4", 130 pounds, in her fifties, with brown hair and light eyes. Police say she also appeared to have a slight limp with her right leg.
