Robbery Suspect Arrested After Police Standoff At CVS In Media

MEDIA, Pa. (CBS) -- Police in Delaware County arrested an armed robber who held up a CVS store Wednesday night and once the cops arrived, he barricaded himself inside the store for an hour-and-a-half.

Media Police say they have Kwesi Hudson, a 46-year-old Wilmington man, in custody.

Authorities say Hudson, wearing a mask and holding a gun, stormed into the CVS on Baltimore Avenue and Radnor Street a little before 10 p.m. Police say he demanded the employees give him cash. They did and police say he forced the workers into a bathroom.

Officers arrived, covering the front and rear exits so Hudson couldn't escape. Police say he hid in a storage room. Officers found the employees and took them out safely. Police say Hudson refused to surrender, but eventually did around 11:30 p.m.

No one was injured.
