Republican John Kasich Makes Campaign Stop At Villanova University

VILLANOVA, Pa. (CBS) -- Fresh off his win in Ohio, Republican John Kasich made a stop on Villanova's campus for a town-hall meeting.
Governor Kasich quickly won over the crowd of about 600 people, pointing out his willingness to shake things up, even it means, he says, going against special interests or his own party.
"And that's why I've been in politics all these years, because I believe we can change the world."
Kasich was asked about President Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, he said a president is entitled to do so, but since Obama never built a relationship with the legislature, this was a bad idea and will just result in more fighting and gridlock.
Meeting with reporters after, Kasich was asked about a comment from Ted Cruz accusing Kasich of spoiling Cruz's chance to beat Donald Trump.
"Neither of those guys can win a general election so maybe they're spoiling it for the republican party and the conservative movement."
