Reports: Phillies Sign RHP AJ Burnett To One-Year Deal
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies have added a starting pitcher.
According to various media reports, the team has agreed to a one-year deal with right handed pitcher AJ Burnett.
The deal was first reported by Hayden Balgavy, and is for one year and $16 million.
Burnett, 37 years old, spent the last two seasons in Pittsburgh with the Pirates and had a record of 26-21, and an ERA of 3.41.
Burnett is 147-132 in 15 major league seasons, with an ERA of 3.99.
