Report: The City Of Brotherly Love Doesn't Live Up To Its Name When It Comes To Valentine's Day
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Love don't cost a thing…unless you're living in Philadelphia.
According to a new report released by finance site WalletHub.com, Philadelphia is one of the worst cities to celebrate Valentine's Day.
WalletHub.com says it looked at 15 metrics, including what a meal for two costs, the number of attractions, the number of florists per capita and the average cost of wine, among other things.
Out of 100 cities, Philadelphia ranked 85th for a V-Day date. While we placed 34th for activities, we came in 52nd for "gift accessibility" and 57th for weather forecast.
But the worst part? The City of Brotherly Love isn't so great for love when it comes to budget; we ranked 93rd out of 100 in that category, which was determined by the average price for a party ticket, the average cost of a three-course meal for two, the average cost of a bottle of wine, the average cost of movie tickets and beauty salon prices.
So, what's the best city for Valentine's Day on WalletHub's list? San Francisco ranked first, while Seattle came in second and Orlando ranked third. Overall, Detroit was the worst city.
