Report: Doug Pederson Is Interested In Nick Foles

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- From Nick Foles to Sam Bradford and now, back to Foles?

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, sources tell him new Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is "interested" in the ex-Eagles QB.

Foles, 27, was the Eagles' third-round pick (No. 88) in 2012. Their head coach at the time was Andy Reid and their quarterback's coach was Pederson.

Under former Eagles coach Chip Kelly, Foles excelled in 2013 throwing 27 touchdowns and just two interceptions in 13 games helping lead his team to the playoffs. However, after an injury-plagued and turnover-riddled 2014 season, Kelly traded Foles to the St. Louis Rams for former No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford. Foles struggled in St. Louis and was benched midway through the season for backup Case Keenum.

The Rams signed Foles to a new two-year, $24.5 million contract prior to the 2015 season. Foles has a massive 2016 cap hit of $8.75 million, while his dead money value is $8 million.

Bradford, 28, is set to hit the free-agent market. The Eagles will have to decide what they want to do with Bradford: franchise tag him, sign him to a new contract, or let him go. The first day to use the franchise tag is February 16th, 2016, but Schefter reports that is unlikely.

However, Eagles reporter Les Bowen disputes both of Schefter's reports.
