Report: Chip Kelly Visits With Alabama Coaching Staff

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Since Chip Kelly arrived in Philadelphia, the notion has been, if he does leave the Eagles, he will head back to college. Kelly has reportedly insisted that he has no plans of being the big man on campus anymore and wants to remain coaching at the professional level.

According to an ESPN report, Chip Kelly visited with Nick Saban's Alabama coaching staff earlier this week. The team is preparing for next week's National Championship Game against No. 1 Clemson.

Offensive Coordinator could be a possibility, but with Kiffin not having the best reputation as a head coach (ask USC...and Tennessee...and the Raiders), he is more than likely not going anywhere anytime soon.

Kelly has always made a habit of visiting with other head coaches and programs to pick their brains and see what other ideas are floating around out there. Now that Kelly has a lot of free time on his hands, this visit to Alabama was likely just that.
