Ed Rendell: Tim Tebow Would Be A Great Candidate For Public Office
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Rumors have begun circulating that Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is thinking about running for political office.
During an interview with Rich Zeoli on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, former Governor of Pennsylvania, Ed Rendell, says he would be a formidable opponent for anyone that has to take him on.
"I think he'd be a very attractive candidate. He's an attractive young man. He's got a strong values system and he speaks pretty well. He looks like a million dollars. I think he'd be a great candidate."
Rendell cited Tebow's work ethic as the reason he also believes the former Eagle would be a quality public servant as well.
"Everything Tebow has done in life, he's worked for. One of the things you have to do if you're a candidate is work to learn the issues. When I decided to run for Governor, I studied things like agriculture like you wouldn't believe because I wanted to be familiar and conversant with the issues. Tim Tebow will put in the work to be a good candidate and, if he gets elected, a good office holder, in my judgement."
