Ramp Closures Announced, Starting This Weekend, On I-95

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- PennDOT has announced ramp closures for Sunday night on I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia. Motorists are being notified that the closures will occur at the Cottman Avenue Interchange.

The closure is in connection to efforts to improve the interchange and widen adjoining sections of I-95.

On Sunday, October 30 through November 5, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., the Princeton Avenue on-ramp will be closed. Drivers can access I-95 north by heading north on State Road and following the marked detour.

During that same stretch of time, the Cottman Avenue off-ramp will also be shut down for construction. Motorists will be detoured to the Academy Road ramp.

Drivers are being warned to allow for extra time if they are traveling in the area.
