Portion Of Turnpike Detoured For Pothole Repairs Reopens

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Cumberland County is back to normal following detours for emergency pothole repairs.

The eastbound lanes were closed from 8 p.m. Thursday until about 5 a.m. Friday from the Gettysburg Pike interchange to the Harrisburg West interchange.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission says the closure was needed to repair a roughly 3-foot-wide pothole in the concrete surface of the deck of a turnpike bridge.
