1 Dead In Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Dump Truck On Route 322

WOOLWICH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- One person died following a multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck on Route 322 in Woolwich Township on Monday morning.

The three-vehicle accident, which happened shortly before 10:30 a.m., closed a portion of Route 322, between Kings Highway and the New Jersey Turnpike, for several hours.

A driver who was trapped inside a vehicle was transported to Crozer Hospital where he later died. Authorities identified him as 42-year-old Gary Dimattesa Jr. of Logan Township.

Two other drivers were treated at the scene with non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no word on what the truck was carrying.

There is no word on what caused the crash.

The road reopened around 2:30 p.m.
