Pope Francis To Receive Jacket Made By Philadelphia Woman

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One of the gifts that Pope Francis will be receiving while in Philadelphia is a jacket made by a retired seamstress from Southwest Philadelphia.
"This is an honor for me," said Dorothy Franklin of St. Cyprian Church in Southwest Philadelphia.
She made a white zipper up, letter style jacket. It has red, white and blue striped trim on the neck, wrists and waist. On the back it reads "World Meeting of Families. Sept.22-27, 2015. Phila. PA."
"I've been sewing since I was seven-years-old sweetheart, I mastered it, God gave me a talent and I used it," she said.

She mailed it to the World Meeting of Families and was told by her pastor it will be given to Pope Francis.
KYW Newsradio asked Mrs. Franklin if she is going to meet the Pope.
"I don't think so."
(McDevitt:) "Wouldn't it be great though?"
"Oh don't talk about it I will faint then. Have all the doctors there and all the nurses because I will faint then I'll be on the floor, trust me."
The jacket is at Saint Charles Seminary and will be given to Pope Francis when he visits there over the weekend.
