Police: Teen Struck By Vehicle In Tacony

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say a 16-year-old boy is hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle in Philadelphia's Tacony neighborhood.

Police say it happened around 3:04 p.m. Tuesday at the 4600 block of Unruh Avenue.

According to Philadelphia Police, a silver Honda was traveling the wrong way on Unruh Avenue and struck the teen.

Police say the driver left the scene, last seen traveling northbound on Ditman Street.

The teen was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children with third-degree burns, a possible left arm fracture and possible internal bleeding, police said. He was placed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Police are investigating.
