Police: Suspect Allegedly Approached Mayfair Bank Teller With Simulated Bomb

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Police Department and FBI are investigating after a man robbed a bank in the Mayfair section of the city and allegedly had a simulated bomb.

On February 10, the suspect entered the TD Bank on the 6600 block of Frankford Avenue and allegedly approached the teller with the simulated bomb.

The unknown male is accused of then taking an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen traveling south on Frankford Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his late 30's to 40's, about 6'2" tall, heavy build with a beard. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a black vest, tan pants and a dark knit cap with a red logo.

Police say there may be a reward for information leading to this subject's capture, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
