Police Shoot Dog After Multiple Attacks In South Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police shot and killed a dog in South Philadelphia Tuesday night after the dog attacked two people.
Officers were called to South 16th and Dickinson Streets in Point Breeze around 8 p.m.
The dog attacked a woman there, and when officers arrived they found the same dog attacking a man who was walking his dog in the area.
After trying to subdue the animal, an officer shot and killed the pit bull.
The woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment of bites to both her hands, while the man was treated on scene for similar injuries.
The man's dog also suffered minor injuries in the attack.
