Police Serving Warrants In Connection With Bodies Found In Schuylkill River

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police are awaiting a search warrant for a home in southwest Philadelphia that may be connected to Wednesday morning's Schuylkill River murders.

Police say they have received reports that some of the suspects may have used the location on the 2400 block of South 72nd Street to store illicit drugs.

The investigation began early Wednesday when police found a 20-year-old man partially clothed, soaking wet and suffering from stab wounds to his torso and legs. He told police he had been kidnapped a few hours earlier by five men and thrown into the back of a van.

Once inside, the man said two other victims were already there, bound, and it appeared they had been stabbed numerous times.

Police were notified and a search of the river began. The bound, dead bodies of two men were found and pulled from the water a short time later.
