Police: Missing 6-Year-Old Boy Found Safe, Unharmed

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police say a 6-year-old boy who went missing from a grocery store in North Philadelphia has been located safe and unharmed.

Officials say Devante Hayward Jr. left the Fresh Grocer at 1501 N. Broad Street Friday with a man only known to his mother as "Jay."

"Jay" was supposed to bring Devante back to the Fresh Grocer at 9 p.m. Friday.

Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash In South Philadelphia

The child's mother made several attempts to contact the man, but received no response.

Officials say she notified police on Saturday at 11 p.m.

Authorities have not released information regarding where Devante was found.

Special Victims Unit is investigating this incident.
