Police Seek Gunman Following Robbery Of A North Philadelphia Bank

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating a bank robbery which took place on Wednesday at a PNC Bank location at 3244 N. Broad Street. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m.

Police say the suspect robbed the bank at gun point and got away with around $12,000. Officials say the suspect entered the bank and approached a teller with a silver handgun.

Authorities say that the suspect is still at large and that no weapon was recovered following the incident.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, between 25-30 years old. They add that he is 5'9", stocky build, dark complexion and has a beard.

He was last seen wearing light blue jeans and a white t-shirt. Authorities add that he had a small band-aid on the left side of his forehead, just above the brow and had another white t-shirt on his head.
