Allentown Pool Re-Opens Saturday As Police Continue To Search For Vandals

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- Police are investigating after an Allentown pool was vandalized Thursday night. City officials say vandals threw park picnic tables, trash cans and an oily substances into Irving Pool.

The pool was closed Friday while crews worked to clear the pool and clean the water. Officials say a city crew is using absorbing pads on the water's surface to remove the film and is scrubbing the walls of the pool.

Officials say the pool will be re-opened on Saturday at noon.
