Police Search For Suspect Who Robbed Center City Bank In Broad Daylight

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are investigating after a Center City bank was robbed in broad day light Wednesday morning.

The robbery took place at the Firstrust Bank located at 1515 Market Street around 9:35 a.m. Wednesday.

The suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a demand note. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the male fled east on Market Street.

He was last seen crossing the south side of Market.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, approximately 50-years-old, 5'10" tall, with a medium build. He was wearing glasses, and has a salt and pepper beard and mustache. He was wearing a black jacket during the incident.

The wanted man is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding this robbery or the suspect is urged to contact the FBI at 215-418-4000, or the Philadelphia Police Department.

Authorities say there may be a reward for information leading to the suspect's capture. All tipsters can remain anonymous.
