Police Search For Man Accused Of Striking Officer's Car While Driving Intoxicated

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) – Police in Hamilton Township are on the hunt for David McAvaddy, 41, who is wanted for an incident earlier this year.

According to police, McAvaddy was involved in a car accident on April 25 on Route 40. Authorities say McAvaddy allegedly struck Officer Longo's patrol vehicle causing serious bodily injuries to the officer.

McAvaddy is now wanted for assault by auto, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.

McAvaddy is described as a white male, 5'11", about 170 pounds with green eyes.

A warrant has been issued by a judge for McAvaddy.
