Police Release Surveillance Photos Of Suspect Accused Of Assaulting Woman At SEPTA Station

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect they say physically and sexually assaulted a female victim at SEPTA's Jefferson Station.

Authorities say around 1 p.m., February 9, a 27-year-old was walking with the suspect in the area of 10th and Filbert Streets.

Police say the suspect led the victim into the Jefferson Station track area and asked for sex and began physically assaulting her.

Officials say the suspect then sexually assaulted the victim.

After the assault, police say the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 25 to 28-years-old, 5'10"-5'11", 150 lbs., with a thin build. He was wearing a black coat with a silver trim, a red and white scarf, black knit hat, black jeans, grey sneakers and was carrying a red backpack.
