Police Issue Unusual Warning Following Gas Station Mishap

DELRAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) -- Officials in Delran Township issued a rather unusual warning after a visit to the gas station went terribly wrong.

The department posted an image via their Facebook page showing a gas pump lying on the ground with the nozzle attached to a vehicle. Judging by the image, it seems as if the driver forgot to take the nozzle out of the vehicle before driving away.

In New Jersey, residents aren't allowed to pump their own gas, making this mishap rather strange. Either way, the Delran Township Police Department had this to say,

"Tried for Gas and go and ended up gas and oh no! Always make sure the gas pump nozzle is removed prior to moving your vehicle. Sunoco gas pumps temporary down, repair company currently on the way."
