Police Investigating Possible Attempted Luring In Burlington County

MT. LAUREL, NJ (CBS) – Police in Mt. Laurel, NJ are looking into reports of an attempted luring that happened on Friday.

A 13-year-old male claimed he was walking on the 100 block of Willow Turn when a white van pulled up next to him and stopped.

The driver of that van reportedly climbed into the back and opened the driver's side sliding door. He told the boy he was selling candy and invited him inside to select what candy he wanted.

At that point, the boy ran and contacted his parents.

The driver is described as a thin white male who is approximately 20-35 years old with no facial hair. He was wearing a blue baseball cap and spoke with a stutter "as if he was nervous."

The vehicle is said to be a newer white cargo van with no side windows and tinted front driver and passenger side windows. There was no writing, ladder racks or distinguishing marks on the van and the registration of the van is unknown.

Anyone with information should contact Mt. Laurel Police.
