Police: 3 People Shot While Riding Bikes In Hunting Park
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Three people were shot while riding their bikes early this morning in the Hunting Park section of the city.
Police say it was about 1:30 a.m. when a 44-year-old man on a bicycle was shot near 5th and Erie.
Chief Inspector Scott Small says while police were on the scene, a call came in with two more shooting victims about three blocks away.
"When police got to that location, they found a 17-year-old male shot in the back and a 18-year-old male shot in the leg."
The victims were taken to Temple Hospital in stable condition.
Small says all three were shot at 5th and Erie, but the two teenagers were able to make it to one of their houses and that's when they called police.
"Right now, we don't have a motive for the shooting. We don't know which of the three, if any of them, were the intended target."
No shell casings were found.
Police are looking at surveillance video from local businesses to figure out who pulled the trigger.
