Police Investigate Stabbing At Northeast Philadelphia Supermarket

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating after they say a 50-year-old man was stabbed inside of a supermarket in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Pathmark store in the 800 block of Cottman Avenue.

According to police, the man was stabbed twice in the face. He was taken to Jeanes Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police say a man in his 40's was arrested and a weapon was recovered.

The incident remains under investigation.
