Police Investigate Multiple Burglaries In Montco With Residents Asleep Inside

By Marcy Norton

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police in Upper Merion Township are looking for burglars who broke into two homes at night while the residents were sleeping inside.

The latest burglary happened Wednesday night in the 400 block of Covered Bridge Road.

Police say the burglars broke in through an unlocked window and managed to steal electronic items, including two large screen televisions, iPads and computers, before making noise that awoke one of the residents.

There was a similar break in two weeks earlier at a home on Brownlie Road.

The thieves allegedly took electronics and stole the victim's car right out of the garage.

No residents were hurt or had any direct contact with the burglars. Upper Merion Township Police ask anyone with information to call.
