Police Investigate Double Shooting In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating a shooting overnight in West Philadelphia that left two men injured.

It happened shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday in the 5700 block of Cherry Street.

Police say two men, ages 37 and 38, were shot in the arm.

The gunman, described as a man in his 20's, was then seen running from the scene through a breezeway on Cherry Street.

"Fortunately, that breezeway where the shooter was laste seen running does have several exterior surveillance cameras," says Chief Inspector Scott Small. "So hopefully those cameras recorded something that can help us with this double shooting investigation."

Police were also interviewing several witnesses who were in the area at the time of the shooting.

There was no initial word on a motive.
