Police ID Suspect, Victim In Attempted Murder-Suicide At Tanger Outlets
ATLANTIC CITY (CBS) -- Atlantic City police have identified the victim and suspect in yesterday's attempted murder-suicide at a popular shopping mall.
Twenty-six-year-old Christopher Romero of Absecon was shot at "The Walk" at Arctic and North Arkansas Avenues around noon yesterday.
He was inside the Zumiez store at the time of the shooting, and was transported to the Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The suspect, 55-year-old Lewis Maisonet, of Somers Point, fled the scene, and then turned the gun on himself.
He is hospitalized in critical condition.
The investigation is continuing.
