Father Accused Of Abducting Child In Virginia Surrenders In NJ

MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ (AP) -- A father accused of abducting his daughter in Virginia has surrendered to police in New Jersey.

Authorities in Virginia issued an Amber Alert for 4-year-old Annabelle Richardson last Wednesday. They issued arrest warrants for her father, Dylan, and her grandmother, Jacqueline McKenna.

Police say Dylan Richardson brought the child to the Monroe Township police station just after 5 a.m. Tuesday and turned himself in. Police say the girl appeared in good health and was unaware of the incident.

The grandmother was apprehended in Glassboro and the girl was placed with family members.

Dylan Richardson and McKenna are charged as fugitives from justice. It's not known if they have lawyers and are awaiting extradition.
