Police: 2 Teens Facing Charges In Connection With Robberies In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police say two teenagers are being charged as adults in connection with a string of armed robberies around Temple University.

Police say a 17-year old and 16-year-old were arrested and charged on Thursday. Authorities say all of the robberies took place between May 14th and May 20th, and each involved at least one armed suspect demanding cellphones and wallets from their victims.

The duo are believed to have worked together on at least two of the robberies.

The 17-year-old faces charges of robbery, theft, making terroristic threats, simple assault and related offenses. The 16-year-old is being charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy and related offenses.
