Picture This: DeSean Jackson Poses With Chris Brown
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Now is probably not the ideal time for a NFL player to be posting a photo with a celebrity, who is notorious for domestic abuse.
Around 4:00pm E.T. on Thursday afternoon, just about 68 hours before DeSean Jackson makes his return to Philadelphia with the Washington Redskins, Jackson posted a photo on his Instagram page of himself with R&B star Chris Brown.
(Scroll down to see photo below...)Jackson captioned the photo with: "Y'all go get My boy New Album @chrisbrownofficial #XAlbum."
Brown pleaded guilty to hitting his then girlfriend Rihanna during a fight in March of 2009, receiving five years' probation and community service. Brown also completed a 52-week domestic violence counseling session.
With the NFL currently dealing with domestic violence cases involving Ray Rice, Greg Hardy, and Jonathan Dwyer, as well as a child abuse case involving Adrian Peterson, Jackson's Instagram does not come at an opportune time. Last Thursday, CBS decided to hold off an opening segment for its September 11th Thursday night football programming featuring a Rihanna song stating, "We needed to have the appropriate tone and coverage."
