Philly Soccer Show: Union's Strong Season Start
By Greg Orlandini
CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Union are unbeaten in their first two games this season, and the KYW Philly Soccer Show has all the action for you.
KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Mike Servedio are joined this week by philly.com's Jonathan Tannenwald.
The Union are fresh off a strong 1-0 win over the New England Revolution at PPL Park, with forward Sebastien Le Toux (in photo) scoring in a home opener for the third time in a Union shirt.
We talk about the continued strong play of the midfield, including Leo Fernandes, who found out he was starting in place of the flu-striken Brian Carroll shortly before kickoff.
The Union are still carrying a couple of injuries. Centerback Austin Berry left in the second half of Saturday's game to be replaced by Aaron Wheeler, while Sheanon Williams missed his second straight game. We talk about the impact these possible absences will have on the coming games for the Union.
