Philly Soccer Show: Richie Marquez

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –- He played his college soccer at a small Division III college, but he now has a fighting chance to make the Philadelphia Union's roster this season.
Richie Marquez is the guest on this week's KYW Philly Soccer Show.
KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch talk with the young defender as he makes his way through his first MLS preseason. Marquez talks about competing for a starting spot on the Union's defense after the departure of Jeff Parke to DC United.
We then look at the at the Union as they have their first scrimmage under their belt, playing three 30-minute periods against the New England Revolution. Each period featured a different starting lineup as the team tries to work in all of the new faces in camp this year.
We also take a look at some US National Team players as they gear up for this year's World Cup.
