PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS) -- A local boy makes good.
Philadelphia native and LA Galaxy defender Dan Gargan is the guest on the KYW Philly Soccer Show with KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch.
The Chestnut Hill Academy alumn has somewhat of a journeyman career in MLS, with stops in Colorado, Chivas USA, Toronto, Chicago, and San Jose before landing in LA. And fortune smile on the hard nosed defender, after earning a spot on the talented Galaxy team, he is a champion for the first time in his career, getting a MLS Cup ring this year.
Then the insightful Kevin Kinkead from CBS 3 joins talk. We are just days away from the January transfer window opening, and the Union are linked with players from Europe. William Kvist, a Danish defensive midfielder, has been on name mention as coming to Philadelphia. He is currently with Wigan in the English Championship, the second division of English soccer.
