Philly Soccer Show: Jim Curtin Sheds 'Interim' Designation As Union Coach
By Greg Orlandini
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS) -- He is the "interim" coach no more, and he is the guest on this KYW Philly Soccer Show!
Montgomery County, Pa. native Jim Curtin talks with KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page's Eli Pearlman-Storch for the first time since being made head coach of the Philadelphia Union.
Curtin, who took over midseason for the fired John Hackworth, has a lot of work ahead of him to turn the Union into a playoff team. He discusses some of the needs he looks to address this offseason, including acquiring an MLS-calibre striker.
Curtin also discusses the goalkeeping situation, which became a point of controversy after the signing of Algerian international goalkeeper Rais Mbolhi during the season.
