Philly Soccer Show: Hackworth Canned By Union
By Greg Orlandini
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS) -- The John Hackworth era has ended at PPL Park, and the KYW Philly Soccer Show breaks it all down for you.
Hackworth was fired yesterday, nearly two years to the day after he was hired to right the ship following Peter Nowak's awful start to the 2012 campaign.
Assistant coach and Villanova product Jim Curtin takes the helm on an interim basis.
KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by PSP's Adam Cann as we try to figure out what is ahead for the Union.
The team is a woeful 3-7-6, and sits in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. We discuss what changes Curtin may bring to the team and if there is time to turn the current season around.
