Two Philly Area Teams To Compete In Pop Warner Regional Championship

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles are headed to the championship game! Seriously.

They're just a little bit smaller than the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Marsh Creek Eagles 115-pounders will face the North Philly Aztecs in the Division 1 Junior Peewee Northeast Regional Pop Warner Championship game on Saturday morning.

These two Philly area Pop Warner teams -- consisting of 10 to 12 year olds -- represent the best two squads from Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

The winner of the game will have the opportunity to go to ESPN Zone in Disney World and play for the Pop Warner Super Bowl on December 10th.

Marsh Creek handled the Franklin Warriors 39-12 in the first round and then shutout the Jackie Robinson Bears 28-0 in the semifinals. The Aztecs defeated the Brick City Lions 19-12 in the quarterfinals and then shutout the Old Town Gators 27-0 in the semi's.

Marsh Creek says they will create a GoFundMe page if they win to help them afford their trip to Disney World.
