Philly D.A.: 15-Year-Old Girl Charged With Murder Of 14-Year-Old Boy
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — According to the Philadelphia District Attorney's office, 15-year-old Amber Hellesten has now been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a 14-year-old boy last week. (See Previous Story)
Authorities say she stabbed the victim last week in Point Breeze. The victim later died from those injuries on Tuesday at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Police say she is also facing Aggravated Assault, PIC, REAP and Simple Assault charges for the incident that occurred on 2100 block of Watkins Street.
Hellesten is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on March 4.
