Philly Cop Suffers Apparent Heart Attack During Struggle With Suspect
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia police officer suffered an apparent heart attack during a struggle with a suspect Monday morning.
The incident happened shortly before 8 a.m. near Diamond and N.Orkney Streets in the city's Kensington section.
According to investigators, several Philadelphia police officers were serving a warrant to a suspect. While serving the warrant, an officer became involved in a struggle with the suspect.
During the struggle, the unidentified officer suffered a medical condition that is believed to be a heart attack.
The officer was taken to Temple University Hospital and is now listed in stable condition.
Police continue to search for the suspect who was seen running from the scene.
