Phillies Open Weekend Series In Cincinnati Behind Hamels

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After getting swept in Washington, the Phillies tonight open a three game series in Cincinnati against the Reds.
The Phillies losing streak has now hit six games and they are ten games under .500 at 24-34.
Cole Hamels will make the start for the Phillies. The left-hander is 8-0 with a 1.67 ERA against the Reds in 11 regular season starts. Overall this season, Hamels is 1-3 with a 4.01 ERA. In his last five starts, Hamels has a 2.57 ERA, but he has gone just 1-1 with three no-decisions during that stretch,
The Reds will counter with right-hander Johnny Cueto. He is 5-4 with a 1.68 ERA. In 91 innings of work this season, he has allowed just 48 hits, so his WHIP is an absurd 0.758.
