Phillies' Minor League Jawn Hosting 'Jawn Day' To Celebrate All Things Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will pay tribute to Philadelphia in a special way next month. When they take the field against the Pawtucket Red Sox on July 7, they won't be known as the IronPigs, but the Jawn.
Jawn is, of course, a slang term used by Philadelphians to describe pretty much anything. Game gear from caps to jerseys will all include the word.
And Philly-inspired food such as cheesesteaks, pretzels and water ice will be sold a the ballpark.
