Phillies Finalize 2015 Opening Day Roster

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies announced their 2015 Opening Day roster on Sunday afternoon just before 2:00 p.m. The team had until 3:00 p.m. to name the official Opening Day roster ahead of Monday's first game.

The roster is made up of 12 pitchers, two catchers, seven infielders and four outfielders.

Pitchers: David Buchanan, Justin De Fratus, Luis Garcia, Ken Giles, Jeanmar Gomez, Aaron Harang, Dustin McGowan, Jonathan Papelbon, Jerome Williams, Jake Diekman, Cole Hamels and Cesar Jimenez.

Catchers: Carlos Ruiz and Cameron Rupp.

Infielders: Cody Asche, Andres Blanco, Freddy Galvis, Cesar Hernandez, Ryan Howard, Darin Ruf and Chase Utley.

Outfielders: Jeff Francoeur, Odubel Herrera, Ben Revere, and Grady Sizemore.

The Phillies take on the Red Sox at 3:05 p.m. on Monday, April 6 to kick off the regular season. Cole Hamels will take the mound for the Phillies.
